i feel dumb

I wanna do one of those 20 in 20s and I looked at the table to place the icons for coding and man do I feel dumb not knowing what the hell I am doing at all

Those codings, usually have a place (usually between "") to put the code for the direct link (NOT the HMTL code). I hope this helps, if not you can let me see the code and maybe I can help you figure it out.
