Nope. Don't be sad, don't give up, and for heaven's sake, DON'T say you suck! Not everyone is lucky enough to be the first chosen, or even to be chosen during the first round. Matter of fact, it's kinda rare that all entries are picked in round one. (I've still got art dangling out there, too -- not the first time it's happened, either.)

Don't say that or think that. The artwork you did that I claimed is wonderful!!! I love it & still look at it. I've showed it off to people at work & my family. I can't wait to post the story so you can see what your artwork inspired me to create. If it hadn't been for your work, I wouldn't have come up with the story.

Nope you do not suck at art nor are your pairings. :) Even my artwork I submit will go into the 2nd or 3rd round for claims in various reversebang challenges. The wait can be a struggle. Hang in there.

Hun, you did an amazing job with the art you did for me for SummerGen! And sometimes not the art itself, but the story description, etc. Don't worry!!! One of mine got picked, and there was a very discouraging comment on the claim post. I'm just going to do as best I can. And there will be open claims tomorrow. All good, sweetie *hugs*

There wasn't a bad piece of art put forward, so no your art is not bad! I have often decided NOT to claim on a piece because it generated such a complex story idea that I could never do it justice in the time frame. And sometimes those darn Muses of ours are just slow to react and they need to look at a piece quite a few times before the story idea starts to blossom! Give it time. :)

Ahw, none of that is true, Em, your art and ideas are sweet! I still have an unclaimed artwork myself and I think that really says more about the abilities and preferences of the authors than about my prompt;) I know when I choose a story to art for I don't look at how good the fic is, but how well I can play with it.
We'll do everything we can to find your kindred spirit. *hugs*

Don't be sad. Taste in artwork is very selective. I know there have been plenty of banners/icons, I thought were great but no one else felt the same way.

Ever since PB stopped 3rd party hosting I have been looking at my old a/w (deciding what to repost) and believe me much of it was embarrassingly horrible. Mastering art work skills takes time and patience. What I do is I try many tutorials until you get an A/W look that you like. I am not the best artist but I try to improve and believe me it takes time.

From the first time I saw your work until now you have improved but because taste in A/W change, it's all a learning process. Don't give up!

I know what you mean.

It is always great to get some inspiration but sometimes the artist have a very strong opion what the story should look like. And if you don´t agree with them it is better someone else writes that story.
